President : Madelyn Benn

Hi LEOs! My name is Madelyn Benn and I'm the President of LEO Club. I have been a LEO since my freshman year. I originally joined because of a friend but quickly fell in love with the group because of the community work that we do. I have always been an active member of my community and it was nice to have a group to continue it through. My favorite memory was my freshman year Arlington field trip where it ended up pouring. The rain wasn't too bad at the start when we first got there. I layed a few wreaths with some of my friends and then it started pouring but we continued to walk around and see all of the sights. I was soaked from head to toe, but I still had a smile on my face at the end of the day. LEO Club does a million wonderful things and you are always left with a good memory when you go home. I would absolutely love being president of LEO Club so that I can help in an active way to lead and help this club move forward. Thank you!

Vice President : Liam Hornstein

(coming soon...)

Secretary: Emily Garlock

My name is Emily Garlock and this is my second year in the Leo club. Leo club is important to me because of that feeling after we've been standing out in the freezing cold, exhausted and you finish the job you've been doing. And, it's that feeling of just happiness and pride knowing how much you have done and, if the work was long, hard or super fun, you've helped someone. This is one of the reasons this is the first club I have ran for office in. Though, I am also in environmental club, ASL club, SMART club, and on the Bennett volleyball team. I love being involved and I am a leader in Leo club so I can help others feel that feeling. And, I want to be there to help when it's your first ramp build and someone hands you a tool you have no idea how to use.

Treasurer: Gianfi Secondi

Being in Leo Club for over a 1 years by now, I was impressed with some of the activities that the club likes to partake in. One of the more favorite types of activities I liked about Leo Club is participating in community service activities away from home as it separates what this community service club do compared to the rest, and I get to be with my fellow Leo's along the way! I am apart of numerous other clubs and honor societies, like a member of WJMB and Habitat For Humanity, Vice President of Student Government Association, and a member in several Honor Societies. I am very easy to reach out to, and generally will respond to someone quickly if they have a question. Lastly, I feel that I am committed in the sense of how many hours I dedicated to Leo Club within the short time span of being in the club. Thank you.

Communications Chair: Kara Lewis

Hey everyone! Next year will be my third year as a LEO, and as you all know, LEO club revolves around participating in service projects and events. But what makes it different is that we're not just doing it for the hours like we might with some school fundraiser that we'll never understand the real effects of... we're doing it to genuinely help people both in our own community and worldwide. Unlike just telling us what a fundraiser or work will go to, in LEO club we actually get to see, experience, and understand how we're helping to change peoples' lives. We can actually see what our work is going towards and we can witness firsthand how we can impact people with the simplest actions- this is what makes the club truly special. Next year is when I think our ability to help will be most impactful and needed since so many families around us are struggling with all kinds of loss... so, we can jump right back into things and take on as much as we can, working together to keep on changing the world one life at a time. I love being a leader of this club to help plan as much as we can and to keep doing truly meaningful things even though we're young- not just for the hours or resume, but because we care. Thank you!
