Leo Club Meeting

January 9th, 2020

Reflections:

Mr. Langan showed thanks for all of the help in December, our busiest month with Leo Club
Leos have worked over 1,100 hours already!
Shared experiences from Wreaths Across America- Mr. Langan met naval admiral, bus driver had been a guard for the Tomb of the Unknown
Figure out bus situation next year, possibly take metro from Pentagon

Reminder: 10 service hours for membership next per semester

Future Events:

-MLK Day Breakfast (Monday, Jan 20th) sign-up sheet sent

Beginning at 7am-11am, set up and serve breakfast at Civic Center

Last year they were very appreciative of our efforts

-Tim Kennard Run (Sunday, March 22nd)

Arrive 7am, run volunteering at water station near SU, ending around 10am

-Salisbury Marathon (Saturday, April 4th)

Arrive 7am, run volunteering, ending around 10am

-Wicomico Spring Drive (Sunday, April 26th)

Sorting books like in fall

Future Events in Planning:

-Leader Dog in March

Mr. Langan will show him around Salisbury, we present check of donation ($500) to Leader dog

Good opportunity to see how they live with guide dogs, LEOs invited to Leader dog dinner sponsored by Lions

-Food Bank volunteering, maybe weekend after RRR ends

-Ramp Build spring date coming soon

-Spaghetti Dinner in future

-Open to ideas
